Grade 5 - Word Problems - Two Step Word Problems with Bar Modeling 2
This problem uses the Singapore bar modeling method to help visualize how many Lego pieces are in three of the six boxes William has organized. We start by dividing the total 1,200 Lego pieces equally into six boxes, finding that each box contains 200 pieces. To find out how many pieces are in three boxes, we multiply 200 by 3, resulting in 600 pieces.
This method not only solves the problem but also helps reinforce the understanding of division and multiplication in a visual and structured way.
