In this example, we used a bar model to represent the total number of people on a bus, then divided that total into parts based on the fraction provided. By shading in the appropriate sections, students can easily see how to break down the problem and find the number of adults and, subsequently, the number of men on the bus.

By dividing the total into equal parts and labeling each section, students can methodically solve the problem step by step.
